TBN and CBE

Christians for Biblical Equality authors should partner with TBN! Here is a comment I received from last night's post:

Their authority was one and the same together. They did everything together. They had always been together. Even when she was still part of him, he was as much female as he was male, LIKE GOD IS. And God separated the female part of him and then put them back together. And she was Adam, they were Adam. He was the man, she was the woman. She was the man with the womb.""

In one brief few moment, Kenneth Copeland took TBN directly into very dangerous pagan waters, as he teaches that God created Adam and Eve as androgynous beings,. i.e., having both male and female characteristics. Remember our earlier assertion that the theology of TBN and the Crouch's are Greek in nature? In the first paragraph of this section, we mentioned that the 'God' of TBN was more like Zeus of the Greek pantheon. This teaching is straight out of Zeus. Did you know that, in the Zeus mythology, many beings were androgynous? Listen to one author explain:

"In closing I will quote from Plato on what humans once were. It is not actually a belief in origins but in the origins of loneliness and love. Here is the edited speech at the Banquet by Aristophanes (189e-193b of Plato's Symposium):

"Anciently....the androgynous sex existed...coupled back to back...till jealous Jupiter divided then vertically ...as people cut eggs with hairs...after then, these divided and imperfect folk ran about over the earth ever seeking their lost halves to be joined to them again...and the reason being that human nature was originally one, and the desire and pursuit of the whole is called love....." Therefore, Copeland is simply offering a slightly modified version of Plato's lie that Adam and Eve were androgynous originally and were separated by Jupiter, creating an "imperfect race". Copeland modified this teaching simply by saying that Adam and Eve were independently androgynous. Let us examine another source to get yet another aspect of Greek mythology relating to Zeus and androgynous humans.

"Hermaphroditus) Greek androgynous deity. The cult of Hermaphroditos appeared first in Cyprus ... Originally the son of Hermes and Aphrodite. The Naiad Salmakis (associated with a fountain of the same name in Caria, a region of Anatolia) fell so passionately in love with him that their bodies merged into one. This next quote tells you why the Greeks held the androgynous deity in the highest esteem:
"Athena is an odd mixture of both the male and female, yet she is widely loved and accepted by the Greeks ... Her aspect as the goddess of wisdom and Zeus' counselor also shows her androgynous position, as she represents both the male and female, impartial in her justice, resolute in her support ... Athena is an icon, an ideal of virgin perfection; she is a fusion of the martial and intellectual that exemplifies the best of the ancient Greek civilization." Greeks viewed the male/female ideal -- androgyny -- as representing the best characteristics possible because such a union represents the "fusion of the martial and intellectual". As we stated in the top of this article, TBN is "Christian in name without being Christian in theology"; now, we can see that TBN is actually Greek in theology! That is serious, because the greatest Greek leader of all time was Alexander the Great, a type of Antichrist.

Now, let us examine yet one more instance of pagan philosophy as Benny Hinn continues to expound:

"Holy Spirit said something to me and I had to go like a mad man and looking in the Word. He says, 'God's original plan is that the woman was to bring forth children out her other side.' What? You know that there is nowhere in the Bible but where God gives birth out of His side? Jesus gives birth to the church out of His side. Adam gives birth to his wife out of his side. It was sin that turned the thing around. And it was sin that transformed her flesh and her body."
Such an idea is certainly blasphemous. It is exactly the same foolishness that elevates Mary, the mother of Jesus to the state of "The Mother of God." Many writers are beginning to suggest, as Copeland, that God has a dual nature of male and female. The entire new headquarters of Trinity Broadcasting Network is feminine in design. There are female angels guarding the entrance to the television studio. The ceilings are filled with frolicking, mostly nude children. Two pictures of the mother/child deception and one with a feminine face, with two nude young bodies hovering above, line the short hallway leading past the female angels to the studio. The appearance is mythological and pagan, and most definitely not Christian!

The Bible is absolutely clear that God is our Heavenly Father. His nature is divine and eternal and sexual distinctions are non-existent. He created man in His image and then created woman. There are no female angels because the angelic host were created in the image of God before women were created. Women are a unique creation out of man to supply him a help-meet and have absolutely nothing to do with the nature and appearance of God. This false concept of God being both male and female is clearly descending into rank paganism.

God As 'Mother Nature'

As TBN moves to the pagan concept of a dual nature, male and female, supposedly manifest in the Heavenly Father, the results can only lead to more disgusting ideas. The new additional studio of Trinity Broadcasting Network in Hendersonville, TN, is the scene of the following quotes. Jan Crouch appears to be the host of these events, with preachers like Phil Munsey and Kim Clement. On one occasion Phil is preaching and appears to be speaking more from "fertility rites of ancient paganism" than the Bible itself. He states:

Phil Munsey: "There is going to be a paradigm shift in philosophies of men. Mother Earth is 'groaning in travail', laboring pain, ready to give birth to something big and something mighty and wonderful... God is moving -- connect with Him."

As he preaches, he mentions the Buddhists and directs his remarks to them. "Buddhists, I love you much, I'm honored that you are willing to get out of yourself and take a risk and go for something that people used to laugh at. I'm honored that you have enough passion for God to try to connect with something."

This teaching is extremely New Age, so much so that it merges effortlessly and seamlessly into the occult teaching that is preparing the hearts and minds of hundreds of millions of people today for Antichrist. New Age teachers began to preach a "paradigm shift" back in the mid-1970's, by which they meant that a sudden, mighty shift in attitudes and values was about to occur that would allow the New Age "Christ" to appear. Likewise, the word "connect" is very common with the occult as it represents the union of man and the 'gods', i.e., demonic gods.TBN is leading its followers directly into the arms of the coming Antichrist!..."
