1) A little girl returned a picture from her coloring book (she received a book last month and I asked several kids to bring one back to me)......1 little girl DID!!!...make my day!!!!
2) Our bilingual friend Cathy had a wonderful chat with this sweet great-grandmother, she asked for a coloring book.
We won't risk interrupting a conversation with a picture and will usually ask if it's ok first. I would have loved to get a picture of Maria, but Curt didn't.....probably just as well. Maria impressed me sooooo much.....You could just about reach out and touch the Holy Spirit working in that lady. I gave her a Bible, a sheet with the "Gospel of Jesus Christ" and a little 'Book of John'....I told her to check out the 'Book of John' with the Bible I gave her, explaining how to use the index in the Bible. That 'John' was "ALL ABOUT JESUS". Please try and pray for her. SHE IS SOOOOO HUNGRY FOR TRUTH - JESUS CHRIST!!!!!
She feels she has been so deceived in the Catholic church. I think I also gave her that new tract you sent with the testimony of a former Catholic priest.
P.S. Your sheet on 'evangelism tips' was a tremendous help in getting started in a conversation on Catholicism. I will not soon forget her!!!! Another teen girl, about to make her confirmation, was intrigued with 'not knowing' and 'not being taught' the 10 commandments. She said she had a Bible. I gave her the 'Book of John' and asked her to check it out with her Bible. I hope I told her to check out Exodus for the 10 commandments, and hope I gave her the 'Hey Kids' tract on that issue. Eight of the 10 CD's (Free Music for Kids - Dwayna at 10 years old) you sent were taken. It was fun talking about you and your love for the Lord!!! Can we get bunches more??????? Also, we're down to about 3 of your little books on '31 Quotes of our Founding Fathers'. Can we get bunches more of that?
There are 3 books that Curt will order from our 'ministry funds'.....'Who's Driving the Purpose Driven Church', 'Heaven Can't Wait', and 'Brave New Schools'. These resources are great for conversations with close friends. Curt said there's a book out called "90 Days in Heaven", also 'The Shack', and many other 'after-death-experiences-sort of thinking' that "Heaven Can't Wait" refutes.
