First Baptist NYC on 79th and Broadway
I stayed longer than expected last week to work the table outreach in NYC with Christine and some of the members of First Baptist NYC. There was just one problem last weekend--it rained. We hope to kick off the outreach in July. We have a new possible leader, Christine! However, I told her that she is not obligated to take the leadership position until I work the ministry with her the first day, so she can see how it goes. I plan to fly back up to work the outreach with Christine and other friends from First Baptist and area churches next month and will be in touch with Pastor Matthew Carpenter, pastor of First Baptist NYC, next week to set a date for this new outreach to begin. We plan to move the location from Columbus Circle at Central Park to 79th and Broadway, alongside the other tables that set up on the block there outside the church.
