books on table for NYC outreach...
We are going to be getting a new sign, which First Baptist will supply...This is an idea of what the table will look like set up on the streets of NYC to reach the lost and give them answers pointing them to salvation through Jesus. 'Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.' Acts 4:12-------------------------------------------------------------------
It poured rain again yesterday, so I set up the ministry table of apologetics inside First Baptist NYC to show Christine how to do it. Christine has agreed to lead it and will be working with the Pastor Matthew Carpenter to set up the table in the area of 79th and Broadway about twice a month, weather permitting.
God has provided a strong leader. Though we have never worked together, due to weather, I have heard Christine's testimony, we have prayed together, and I know she is truly called by the Lord to lead this ministry. She teaches Sunday School to kids, volunteers at a Crisis Pregnancy Center, and plans to make First Baptist Church NYC her home church as she works with Matt in this new outreach. I was saved at age 5; she was saved at age 6. We have a lot in common, and she has become one of my best friends.
