I have had such a fun night with the Lord, spending time in prayer and singing! I am excited about singing at Angola Prison in about a month and speaking and singing at a women's conference in Baton Rouge.
But, what I love most, is just getting down on my knees and pouring out my heart to God. I love singing songs just to Him and praising His name.
I have had a full day of work, and I am caught up on bookkeeping after my trip to NYC.
Several friends have written books and have sent me copies for our ministry tables, so I am looking forward to doing a lot of reading tonight. I will order more materials for our NYC outreach (scheduled to begin August 23rd) tomorrow...
I listened to a sermon today by Dr. Walter Martin entitled "Doctrine of Demons" as I unpacked my suitcase from my trip. It was such a blessing to hear and be encouraged that our battle is not against flesh and blood. I am determined to hear one sermon per day to saturate my mind in God's Word for the next few months.
I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold
I'd rather be His than have riches untold
I'd rather have Jesus than houses or lands
I'd rather be led by His nail scarred hands
Than to be the queen of a vast domain
And be held in sin's dread sway
I'd rather have Jesus than anything
This old world affords today
