(LTW sent Dov and Olga over 100.00 worth of materials for the outreach, including shipping, last week. Thank you for your prayers for this dynamic ministry location!)
Dear praying friends,
We have got a small ministry update for you:
One day a woman called me (as I understand, one of Tel-Aviv prostitutes gave her my telephone number) and asked for my help. Her name is Tanya, she is 32 years old. Many years ago she was promised a job and was brought to Israel, but then she realized she had been cruelly deceived: the “job” was prostitution and the living conditions were that of a slave… Today Tanya lives in a shelter for women like her, with her two little children (aged 4 and 5), after she ran away from her unofficial husband. The shelter, however, cannot keep her any longer and forces her to move out and rent an apartment, but she does not have Israeli citizenship and does not get any allowance as a single mother, so her financial situation is very complicated. The Lord put it on our hearts to try and help Tanya, so we contacted different organizations (Christian and non-Christian ones), but none of them seemed to be willing to help her. Please pray for Tanya and for us – that the Lord would give us wisdom and show us what we should do.
We have also got acquainted with representatives of an amutah (non profit organization) of drug addicts’ mothers and were invited to a conference this amutah will be holding soon. We hope God is opening a new door for our ministry this way. Please pray.
Thank you very much and may God bless you all,
Dov and Olga Bikas
