Update on Goals This Week

I have had the surprise of spending some time with my family this week. I sure am thankful to be living closer to them now that I am living in the South in Atlanta. I am enjoying some great times in prayer daily and am reading a book by Kurt Koch, teaching me more about spiritual warfare and "not giving the devil an opportunity". (I first heard about Kurt Koch through Walter Martin and John MacArthur and now have all of his books.) I am also keeping up with emails and updates from our various locations, preparing a newsletter to be sent out tonight to prayer partners on our email list.

The 40 minute video that I recorded about this ministry, sharing my testimony, did not turn out well after all. The lighting was too poor in my condominium, so I will have to redo it. I cannot give this to pastors, etc. looking like it does now. I spoke with my tech guy, explaining that I could not use the DVDs, though I paid him for his help with them. I explained that we are low on funds now, and it made me sad realizing that I had paid him for something we cannot use, and I will have to do it all over again. He said he would make it up to me and would not charge as much the next time when I re-record the video. I am not sure when or where I can do this, but I am thankful for the donation of a Flip video camera which will allow me to do this over and better for God's glory to explain to others the work of Lighting the Way.

I am practicing songs daily, preparing for a conference in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where I am singing and speaking in about a week. I have ordered $300.00 worth of materials for our NYC outreach, which will start this Sunday with a new leader! All funds go to pay expenses for resources in all of our locations. I sent a package of resources yesterday to the Rio Grande Valley location, and this package was worth about 100.00 at cost for the books, etc. Thank you so much for your support of this ministry. Every little bit adds up, even postage for the shipments.

My new music CD should be done by the end of the month. I will be sending a copy to anyone who has given in 2009 as a thank you gift.
