From Suzi:
Not only did the Lord give us a most beautiful day but a little gadget that allowed us to have praise and worship while sharing the Good News!! I pray that as we continue to lift Him up, He will draw many to Himself!! Thanks so much for allowing God to use you in such a mighty way by starting this powerful ministry! You are truly fulfilling the great commission and allowing others to do the same. It was such a beautiful day today, and we had so much traffic that the supplies are running out. We pray that more ministries will donate as certainly there are storehouses of Bibles and tracts that are not being utilized. Thanks again and it is such a joy to be part of it!
From Christine:
We had such beautiful weather Sunday for November, so our day out telling the Good News of Jesus was extra special. ;) Dwayna, God is truly blessing that location. The response from people has been pretty overwhelming-- it was hard to let it sink in on Sunday! A lot of people come up who are Christians and talk, so we are able to warn them of the apostasy in the church these days; we let them know they are an encouragement to us as well.
Also, many people who are searching come up to the table and talk; some are homeless, and some are involved in false religions like Buddhism, New Age and Catholicism. For the most part they are open to hearing about the Good News of Jesus. I try to be sure to tell all that we will be there in front of the Post Office and Madison Sq. Garden every Sunday; that way, if God moves in their hearts during the week, they know where to find us.
In addition, there are those, who as my dad would say, are "agents of Satan" and spout meaningless and cruel things in our direction as they walk on by. And you know what is weird? For the most part, they are older women! (I don't want to say ladies b/c what they say is not lady-like) But God is with us, Dwayna, and we keep on running the race! ;)
Response to handing out various tracts has also been very well-received. The tracts that First Baptist donated are a life-saver. I am thankful to Pastor Matt and praise God for that. Pastor Recker and Heritage also indicated he is willing to donate some tracts to this ministry, I just have to let him know what we may need of which I have yet to do, but I wanted to get in contact with you first.
I pray that this response will continue and that God uses this ministry to reach many of the lost who are seeking a Saviour, and we know who they are seeking! Praise Jesus.
In Him,
Christine
