(Where has the time flown? I was turning 8 at my birthday party in this photo in TN.)I was recently discussing a situation with a dear friend, and she said simply, "Give it time, Dwayna. Give it time." Immediately my anxious heart felt at ease at the thought of waiting.
Time passes as we serve God and live for Him and "all of a sudden" we realize situations have changed, and even we are not the same people we used to be. I look back on my life, and I don't know how God has made me stronger in areas I used to be weaker, but He has. One step at a time, one day at a time God changes us to make us more at peace in obedience to Him and serene in His perfect will.
"...count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." James 1:2-4
