Once Again, He's Faithful to Me

“But you are to cling to the Lord your God, as you have done to this day…for the Lord your God is He who fights for you, just as He promised you. So, take diligent heed to yourselves that you love the Lord your God. For if you ever go back and cling to the rest of these nations, these which remain among you, and intermarry with them, so that you associate with them and they with you, know with certainty that the Lord your God will not continue to drive these nations out from before you: but they will be a snare and a trap to you and a whip on your sides and thorns in your eyes until you perish from off this good land, which the Lord your God has given you…and you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one word of all the good words which the Lord your God spoke concerning you has failed; all have been fulfilled for you, and not one has failed.” Judges 23: 8-14

I read that text last Monday night and got tears in my eyes at the Bible study taught by Jim Reimann. I had just had a fender-bender car accident the day before, and I had a lot on my mind. My bookkeeper had mysteriously disappeared, and I had to get the totals done for 2009. As it turned out, the bookkeeper had lost his cell phone; we worked yesterday, and all was completed with the bookkeeping this week for me to send off my personal taxes today. But, I didn't know what would happen Monday night as I prayed to God for help. He comforted me with the passage above, and, once again, He was faithful. My car is getting fixed by insurance, and the heaviness I felt on Monday has all been lifted.

I prayed and said, "Lord, You are all I have." He calmed my fears once again and was more than enough for me this week.

He is the most wonderful Husband and Provider. A "foreigner" can offer me nothing with a faithful God like mine.

In His joy and rest,
