Praying about Expanding to Gudalajara, Mexico in Evangelism and Apologetics

Letter I received today from pastor in Mexico inquiring about starting a new table outreach of evangelism there:

We are in Guadalajara right now. It's the 2nd largest city in Mexico. Heavily Catholic and also the headquarters of homosexuality in Mexico.

So how do you set up your tables? What do you put on them exactly? What other details are involved?

I have been interested in some time in setting up a Gospel booth at a local market here. I think it would be easier to get brethren to do this type of ministry also then to get them to open air preach and all like we've been doing. In this way more women, especially the older women in our church, could get involved.

Please go to the web site, and on the home page, you will find photos scrolling of our table outreaches. We really just want to make materials available for people for free who are searching for answers. However, nothing is given out randomly. The table serves as a forum for people to approach us. When they approach us, we can tell them what it means to be saved if they are interested, realizing that only God can open their eyes and make them interested enough to quicken them to life. (Ephesians 2:1-2). Realizing that it is all God’s work, we can rely on Him to bring the people over.

Depending on the mission field, we have materials on the table to answer questions and meet them where they are in their objections to the Bible... By God’s Spirit, we are used to tell others what the Bible says about how to be saved. It is such exciting work! Of course, we have free Bibles, too, for the people.

The first step is to send me photos of the mission field (if there is any pagan spirituality, etc. embedded in the area). Then, you just set up a table and pray for God to bring the people over. LTW partners with ministries internationally in resources for the table outreach locations. It is a wonderful way for the church to go “into the world and preach the Gospel” in these postmodern times.
