Greetings from the Good News Friends,
Though the weather has been chilly, we had another great day handing out the Word of Life! We always pray for protection and favor and that God will send those who are searching for truth. I have yet to see any of our tracts or publications on the ground and trust that God is faithful to draw those who are hungry and thirsty for He alone satisfies!
I so enjoyed Jacob's response as he motioned me over and quietly asked what his Hebrew Bible was doing on our book table??? I explained that Jesus truly was and is the Messiah and fulfilled all the prophesies concerning Himself. We had a lively discussion and he agreed to read the book, They thought for themselves, which includes testimonies of several Jews who have found Jesus to be the Messiah! We pray that Jacob will also consider the claims of Christ and find new life in Him!
We have been offering prayer for those who are hurting or in need of the the Lord's help. Rolando opened up and shared the pain of losing his father and after we prayed for him, he said he felt encouraged and strengthened in his faith. Truly our God is full of compassion and heals the broken hearted. What a joy to reach out to a hurting brother and pray for God's peace and healing in his life!
We have been asking the Lord of the harvest to raise up more laborers to go into the field for truly the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few! The Lord sent Christian to us this week who has worked with Dwayna before and he and I have done outreaches together in Jackson Heights. He is very open and relational and loves to talk to others about Jesus and earnestly contend for our precious faith!
Lord please make us humble servants to shine forth your truth in love!
