I just loved a biography I saw on this extraordinary, Christian woman who has never been married. She is very happy and fulfilled as a single person, as she has accepted how her life has unfolded without marriage and children. She said that it was not that she has rejected marriage but that it was a plan that had never unfolded for her, so she is at peace with God's plan. She could play the hymns on the piano at age 3.
Her grandfather was a pastor in Alabama at a Presbyterian church. She skipped grades in school, because of her high IQ. It is no mystery to me why she has never been married...
She discloses in online interviews that her religious convictions make it harder for her to find someone compatible. Good for her!
I sat with so much respect for her as I watched her biography tonight. She is a great role model for other Christian women. She does not impress me as a lonely person at all, and I really like the kind of woman she is. It is nice to read about a woman like her, because I would rather be like her--single!--and all I can be for God than married to anyone who does not fit with who I am in Jesus and all His plans for my life.
