With so much to do, I set daily and weekly goals. I like to keep everyone abreast of the progress we are making, as we are growing, to let people who pray for us and support the ministry financially know how I am spending my time.
I accomplished my goal for last night--I compiled photos to show our outreach locations in action for a new DVD. This was tedious work, as I had to look through hundreds of photos saved on my computer. The distributor for the video said she liked what I sent her, so that project is done.
As for today, I have not stopped. It has been another big shipping day. I was finally able to get the sign for the NYC outreach table shipped for free with a coupon for UPS shipping at Staples. It should arrive next week in New York. We are so thankful for Pastor Matthew Recker, as he is able to take boxes of Bibles and resources and supplies by mail, so the team members don't have to carry all of these things afoot in NYC. I also shipped out several boxes to locations such as TN, Rio Grande Valley and Venice Beach for our outreach locations.
I had one errand to run after another today and came home to find beautiful flowers delivered from my dad and his wife, Kim, in celebration of my birthday tomorrow. I love the flowers!!!!!!
So, tonight, I plan to work on web site updates and answer emails. The goal for tonight and tomorrow is to file ALL receipts for 2010 in the appropriate categories for our bookkeeper. Now that he is almost done with the balance sheets for the accountant for 2009, we are ready to hone in on 2010. I file them and pay our bookkeeper by the hour to data entry all the receipts into Quickbooks. Some people ask, "Can't you do that to save money?" I answer, "Do you know how many receipts we have?" It takes hours and hours, and I am more than happy to pay the bookkeeper. Plus, I don't know Quickbooks like a bookkeeper knows the software, so I thank God for the help. (We have had a bookkeeper to help with this since 2003.)
I look forward to answering emails tonight and posting more updates on the web site!
