God does not have me single at this point in my life for me to be lonely, and I am not. I am so happy working hard in ministry and service unto the Lord, my heart is FULL of joy.
I am amazed at how many women have written me, confessing they are lonely. God ordains our loneliness to prune us, and just because a Christian is alone does not mean he or she has to feel lonely. I used to feel lonely, but God used that to draw me closer to Him. This ministry was birthed out of loneliness, when I felt I had nothing but Jesus. Well, HE IS CERTAINLY ENOUGH!
Good friends and pure gifts come from God. If we take a look around, as Christians, we will find we are surrounded by love with much work to do. There is no need to feel lonely or bored.
I prayed by phone today with a member of our NYC team. I realized, as I prayed, that every Christian woman could learn a lot from their example as they plan to set up the table outreach this Sunday. What a wonderful way to enjoy your First Love as a Christian--telling others about Jesus and feeling His joy.
We don't need a "Valentine's Day" to celebrate our loving God who desires such an intimate relationship with us that His desire is to make us happy in Him as we learn what it means to let Him be "everything" to us with every other relationship falling far behind.
