Email Question I Received on "Reiki"

Hi,

What do you think about reiki? I lost a friend who did reiki on me and now she will not speak to me anymore, because I chose to stay with Jesus. I told her I felt like I was sinning and strange things were happening to me. She did not believe me, but I still feel bad that she will not acknowledge me. I want to tell her more about Jesus, but I know it's up to her to make the choice.

My response:

Reiki, is very demonic. It invokes demons to “balance” you. Just because your friend does not agree, does not mean you are wrong. Good for you for staying close to Jesus and not giving this spirituality an open door in your life! (Deut. 17, 18; Isaiah 47). God is a jealous God. We are forbidden from occult spirituality, because these “seducing spirits” will harm us. Jesus will be a better Friend to you than anyone. He will be faithful to you. When we have to choose between anyone on earth or Him, He wins!
