LTW Update: Boulder

Now that the team has moved the table and supplies to a more central storage location, they will be able to set up the table on Pearl Street. This will give our outreach much more depth, due to the resources we can make available via the table. I will fly there this year to work with the team at the table. In the meantime, they have been doing witnessing without the table, and here is a summary from Patty of our evangelism in this area lately.

The past two times I planned to go out in Boulder it snowed but today was sunny and in the sixties and the crowd on the Pearl Street Mall was as big as for a planned festival. Street performers were everywhere, and we noticed a tarot card reader and a woman giving chair massages for $1 a minute. I was there with Dan, a brother from my church, from 2-4 passing out tracts and reminding people of the importance of Easter (that Jesus rose from the dead). Then Melanie, from the Denver street evangelism, joined me for another hour. A man named Steppenwolf said he wore a cross because he believed in Jesus, but his replies to our questions indicated he thought of it more as some sort of insurance against hell. He believed God would let him into heaven because that's where he wanted to go, and he didn't think he had to surrender to Christ. We were blessed talking to a believer named TJ who is homeless but full of hope for his future in Christ. He plays the recorder for donations and is saving money. We encouraged him to find a church home and be part of a covenant group of fellow Christians. --Patty
