LTW Update: NYC Last Weekend

Update from Christine:

It was great to be back in the subway after the time out of it the weekend before...Pastor Recker gave an inspiring sermon Sunday a.m. on Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem and how that very moment was prophesied in Daniel 9:24-27, and I was even more energized by the Spirit to serve our Lord! After facing some obstacles, we were completely set up around 3:30 and stayed until a little after 6:30. We then joined hands in prayer with a fellow Christian who stopped by the table. After we were done praying, we were pleased and surprised to find that an elderly women stood outside our prayer circle and prayed with us. She seemed blessed by our prayers and earnestly asked us to pray for her daughter, Cher, who is the only unsaved member of her family.

I want to mention that we basically share the subway tunnel every Sunday with a couple of Chinese ladies who hand out tracts on the Rapture. Yesterday, I noticed that a lot more people had these tracts in hand as they passed by and some were even reading them as they headed in our direction. I was holding booklets of studies in the Gospel of John or Romans and some of these people stopped to take these or take Bibles or copies of the New Testaments offered. May God use these resources for His good will and purposes! Please keep these people in prayer, as well as the Chinese ladies who are faithfully there every Sunday!

To God be the Glory!
