When asked how best for a Christian to spend his or her last days, Dallas Willard gave an answer to Bob Buford based on humanism, suiting the social gospel marketplace quite well.
Dallas: “Very simple. My prescription is that you should devote the rest of your life doing things that you know to be good and profitable for humanity and that means especially for the human beings that live around you. You should devote yourself to advancing their wellbeing.”
(Dallas Willard is one of the main gurus of the emergent church and contemplative prayer movements, redefining Christianity's landscape in America.)
