I am just checking in after another full day of work in the music studio. The song is so beautiful, and I thank God for it. Grady and I are working great together, and I appreciate the way he has a heart to bring God glory in all we do. We started the day off with prayer, and the song went a slightly different direction, and we both agree it is perfect. We hope to have the song done by the end of next week, and I am praying for God to clear up my congestion, so my voice can be in top shape when I sing the final vocal.
Years and years ago I used to think it would be so nice to be able to write a song. I remember saying, "...but I can't write. I only sing." A popular writer in Nashville said, "Maybe you are a song writer and just don't know it, since the idea of writing a song appeals to you so much." When I wrote my first song, it just all came out from my heart about an experience I had, and today when the songs come like that to glorify God, I just can't thank Him enough! I hope this new song will be such an "easy listening" song that people will want to hear it over and over, as it encourages us to surrender in the most beautiful place--a place of obedience with peace and contentment, filled with the Father's love. (As some of you may know through Facebook, I really worked a long time on this song. The lyrics are so tight now, and I love the melody and every single thing about it.)
On the way home from the studio I stopped by Staples to have more copies of articles made for the Little Five Points booth location. I now have another article for Buddhists and the documentation to show that Jesus really existed in history to keep at the table for the people who approach.
Tonight I am going to be packing up another big box of Bibles and resources for the NYC location to get that off in the mail tomorrow, answering emails, and getting my web designer the location of "Pickering (England)" to include in the photos that scroll on our home page of table outreaches based on apologetics on the LTW web site.
If I have time after that work is done, I want to write on the blog about being happy and single, specifically how to enjoy a quiet, empty room.
