Greetings,
Two Sundays ago, we had the pleasure of joining New Testament Fellowship and various other ministries for an outreach in Central Park at the Band Shell. The gospel was shared along with testimonies, and various musical and dance performances.
When I first arrived the sound was muffled, and there were distractions from skaters and hecklers. Kasia and I prayed that Jesus would be lifted up and that the disruptions would cease. We then walked over to share with the group of hecklers and offered them Bibles and tracts. We were able to engage in conversation and tell them how Jesus has changed our lives. They were open and responsive and by God's grace we had no further interruptions for the rest of the day.
A book table was set up with Bibles and an abundance of materials, and we saturated the area offering Bibles and gospel tracts. It was wonderful to have songs of worship being shared from different ministries from the band shell which opened the hearts of many to receive the good news. One man told me he was an atheist and when I asked him why, he said it was because he had many questions. I asked him if he had ever read the Bible and shared that God has many answers. After mush discussion, he told me that he had never considered reading the Bible but was staying in a hotel with a Bible and that he would read it. So many have found Jesus through investigating His word or reading a gospel tract which is why we delight to encourage all to discover the great hidden treasure of God's Word!
We gathered together at the end of the day to pray and lift up songs and of praise for God's faithfulness!
This past Sunday, we were back in the subway and as always, we pray for divine appointments to share the hope we have. I have been praying specifically for masons as many have no idea when they get involved that it is a society which worships Lucifer as the True Light. Pray for Chad that He comes to understand that Lucifer is a fallen angel who seeks to deceive the nations but that Jesus is the only Most High God and Savior.
Pray for Jason, a kind policemen that stood nearby our table. He has never read the Bible but received the book of Romans and a gospel tract. Also pray for Brooke who received several books and was very open to the gospel.
May we continue to be about our Father's business until we see Him face to face!
