A Prayer for More Than My Own Ease

I got this email tonight. I wrote back my friend to let her know that no one has been a dearer friend to me. This shows what it means to be a good friend to me, the kind of friend only God can give.

The last couple days I have been tearfully praying for you and your ministry along with many others who are still faithfully and courageously standing up for Jesus. I plead with God to keep everyone strong for the battle, but I only pray for God's will to be done, because in my finite human condition, understanding what I might think is "the best" may be detrimental to that person's spiritual health. So, I limit myself to allowing the Holy Spirit to intercede on my behalf as I seek to glorify my precious Lord and Savior.
