Thunderstorms, Computer Crashes, and Little Five Points

What a weekend!

My lap top, storing every bit of information since this ministry began in 2002, totally crashed on me Friday night. After working from 11:00 to 8:00 with one tech guy on Saturday and then 8:30 to 10:30 with another tech guy Saturday night, it seems the information can be retrieved from my hard drive. If not, I have it backed up, but it was backed up about 3 months ago, and I have added a lot of names in Outlook since then, as well as much needed research and ministry summaries archived from all our locations. God has blessed this ministry with a tech guy who is a Christian. I stopped to pray with Jon around 4:00 P.M. yesterday, as I asked God to retrieve the data for His glory. That little hard drive stores names from all over the world, as GOD has made this ministry grow to new places by word of mouth with not one bit of marketing from me.

After the long day the technical prognosis was my lap top died with some problems on my hard drive but more than likely all data still on the hard drive. I had to purchase a new lap top today, and by the time I bought the warranty, tech help, etc. I realized that I would be saving money for the rest of the summer! This was an unexpected expense, but it was not unexpected to God.

I drove to the storage unit today to search for my old Microsoft Office 2007 (with Word, Outlook, etc.) to save 400.00. I found it, so I am sure it can be transferred over to the new lap top, along with security I bought from McAfee previously for more than one computer.

I will know by tomorrow night if everything can be retrieved, and then I will make plans to be out at Little Five Points again. I hope to be out there this coming weekend. Rain is expected this week anyway.

I am writing now from an old PC in my loft on a stormy, windy night. All of this makes me stop to pray and worship. Satan, as the prince of the power of the air, has been given leeway to cause distractions from contending for the faith. Why? Because he hates people and hates Jesus AND hates people who tell others about Jesus in sound doctrine! I know that this is just "life", but LIFE as a Christian living on the front lines in setting people free from demonic lies from hell makes the enemy aware.

Still, we press on. AND, we are pressing on in victory. I just spoke with some of the team in NYC, and they had another wonderful day witnessing to people, having conversations about Jesus with atheists in NYC who wanted to hear more...

By God's grace,

Dwayna
