I have been a little under the weather today, sleeping only about an hour last night. I went to the doctor, and it was yet another sinus infection. (For people who are not allergic to pollen, mold, horses, cats...hope you count your blessings. It seems I am allergic to almost everything.) The unseasonably cool days filled with pollen have left me with a scratchy throat and debilitating sinus pressure. I am taking medicine to get better before singing at Theta Baptist Church this weekend for Sunday morning and Sunday night.
That being said, lots of hard work has had a salutary affect on my heart, as I feel exhilarated by all God has in store. I have been busy today answering emails, and I will post an update from NYC tonight. We have new materials for reaching lesbians with the Gospel and in-depth resources to combat the lies of the Emergent Church. I am continuing to proof CDs donated of sermons.
Hopefully, I will retrieve my data from the hard drive crash this Friday before heading out of town. No outreach to Little Five Points will take place this weekend, since I will be out of town. I will post directions on the blog, to also be placed on the web site for Christians who would like to work with me there this summer.
New shipments are being prepared for NYC and Tennessee locations of outreach. I plan to write an update on Little Five Points last weekend if I feel better tomorrow.
For those of you who read the blog but are not on Facebook, I want to invite you to join me there. It is interactive as news is posted, unlike this blog, and I am enjoying having challenging conversations on apologetics there.
Soon to come: updates from NYC!
Also, we have updated the web site. We now have a page called "Why Contend?" with an excellent sermon there posted by Bob DeWaay. We plan to get explanations posted by Ray Yungen on Contemplative Prayer and Gary Gilley on the Emerging Church with biblical reasons why these movements are wrong and why we must "contend for the faith" (Jude 3) even within churches today.
We have also added the "Philippines" location to our scroll of locations, and I hope to get Guadalajara posted, as well as Pickering (England). Then we will be up to date (something I don't say often!)
