The "Kingdom of God" Based on Humanism? (More from Redeemer Pres. and Tim Keller)

From Redeemer Pres. NYC--The "annual report" newslettter, at the top of the "Worship and Evangelism" page reads:

Worship & Evangelism

The Gospel is the good news that through the perfect life and sacrificial death of Christ, we have been restored, forgiven and adopted into God’s family when we trust in Christ’s record by faith instead of relying on our own. When we believe, the power of the Holy Spirit comes upon us and begins to work through us to establish God’s kingdom.”

My comments:

Are we saved in order to establish the Kingdom of God? The Bible says that God establishes His kingdom, and our purpose in salvation is not to establish God's Kingdom on earth. (caveat: This was sent to me by email via a member of Redeemer who pointed out the error in the statement.) I am going to be writing more about the movement of "Dominionism" and the Apostolics. It is a movement based on power and ego to "rule the world" in the name of Jesus. They believe the second coming of Christ is when Christians rise up to take over the world. Before we all laugh, it is serious due to the influential pastors and Christian leaders involved.
