Welcome to the mission field of Little Five Points
I met Scott, whose fingernails were painted. He promised to read everything I gave him, including a booklet on addiction called When You Just Can't Stop.

Lots of sermons on CD and DVD were distributed including tracts exposing Hinduism and yoga.

This little child's hair cut got my attention. When I saw the astrological tattoo on his mother's back and the goat's head t-shirt of his dad's, the little boy's Mohawk made more sense.

Literature and Bibles are free at our table to answer objections to Jesus and give people reasons to believe in the true God above all other spirits with materials for New Agers and gothic teens and articles on The Secret about why people are not gods.

Apologetics is also for Christians, as Anthony was asking this Christian man to show him in the Bible where the Bible says to "ask Jesus into your heart." Of course, there is no such verse, which made for an interesting conversation about what it means to have saving faith. It is all God's work as He makes someone want such mercy and forgiveness of sin through Jesus.

Then the Hare Krishna parade began,

and I got really excited about it, grabbing my fact sheet for Hare Krishnas!

It was like being back at Venice Beach! If I had known the Krishnas were coming, I would have made at least 100 copies of my sheets I typed for Hare Krishnas when I lived in LA, all Bible verses to show that Lord Krishna is not the true Savior. I had a few on hand, and I gave them all out. It hurt me when others asked, "May I have one?" having to tell them, "I don't have anymore." [I toured the Hare Krishna temple when I lived in LA. They are more religious than Christians, awaking at 3 A.M. for meditations. They must spend hours chanting for cleansing of sin, and it is truly a religion of bondage. I took a Hare Krishna with me to church once to hear John MacArthur speak, and she said, "I hated it. It was all I could do to sit there!" The spirit of Hare Krishna has antipathy for the Holy Spirit. They are very spiritual bunch hopping around, literally, for salvation.) No doubt about it, Little Five Points is my kind of place

for an outreach of apologetics in Atlanta. Keith, a member of our team, said, "I couldn't work here a lot in evangelism. It is too oppressive." I said, "Yeah, it is oppressive, but I like the challenge of reaching these people right where they are and giving them answers." About that time a "gay" vendor across from us took a CD from our table on psychic phenomena (from a biblical perspective.) He said, "Yeah, I like the paranormal." He will be in for a surprise when he hears the CD, warning of the demonic realm by Walter Martin. I look forward to following up with the vendor the next time I see him.

We were very busy as one person stopped

after another with questions.

I worked with Paul, Joe, Scott, Keith and Anthony, coming from

various churches in the greater Atlanta area.

One woman approached needing encouragement. "God makes a home for the lonely" was a verse she said she needed that day. (Psalm 68:6) I really appreciate how Keith opened his Bible to encourage her.

We even had a fired up Jehovah's Witness stop by the table.

Though I had materials specifically for JWs, the man would not take anything. He was a riot, literally! There was nothing we could say to break through, though we took him to many verses to prove the Trinity and that Jesus is God.

It was one hot day, and we had a lot of fun working together.

It is worth it when just one person is receptive to the Gospel and asks to hear more.
