Dear Dwayna,
Thank you for sharing this story, and it reminded me that I haven't written to report on the Boulder outreach, though we did go with six from my church and a friend from the Denver team (Melanie). I'm sorry for the delay.

Thank you for sharing this story, and it reminded me that I haven't written to report on the Boulder outreach, though we did go with six from my church and a friend from the Denver team (Melanie). I'm sorry for the delay.
We set up the table with lots of free quality materials, thanks to Lighting the Way. A couple people thanked us for having the Christian witness there. While out with Melanie, I shared with a Muslim named Jamal, originally from Pakistan, I believe, but a long-time resident of the U.S. He was resistant to admitting he was a sinner when I asked him if he had stolen or used God's name in vain or looked with lust, but he was interested in the conversation. At one point he asked me, "Who do you think God is? What is God like?" I had a chance to explain how only in Christianity do you see God coming to earth to rescue people, to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves.
We cannot ever be good enough to earn our place in heaven. He looked like he hadn't heard that before, but he still did not believe. When I mentioned that the Bible says in order to take advantage of the gift of salvation in Christ he must repent of all sin and give his life to Christ, he stopped me and said for me to never invite a Muslim to become a Christian, explaining that it was very offensive to do that, and besides a Muslim cannot ever leave his religion. I thanked him for the advice, though I won't follow it. Islam continues to spread in America, and we need to keep reaching out to them with the Truth.
Blessings,
Blessings,
Patty
