A Message That Made Us Cry

My mother poured her heart into teaching all of my life. She loved the kids so much--she was the teacher that underprivileged kids wanted as their mother. She went over and beyond with her students. I guess that is why she was awarded 'Teacher of the Year" in every district. She connected with some of her former students through Facebook from even 20 to 30 years ago. Here is an email from a former student that made my mother cry and brought tears to my eyes, too. It just goes to show what God can do in a life as we love others, expecting nothing in return.

WOW! I knew this Facebook thing would come in handy for something : ). You look awesome, and I'm so glad to see you are doing well. How are Ross and Dwayna? My wife and I are teachers, and we have 3 kids Luther III (10) Xania (6) and Xalia (4). I've also been a minister for 5 years. Thank you for your strong influence as my teacher. I love you,
