Mission Field of Venice Beach

The stench of marijuana followed us up and down the sidewalk last Thursday, Sept. 23rd,
and homosexuality was on parade on the sidewalks and in the cafes.

I needed to make friends with some of the vendors in order for them to secure a spot on the boardwalk for our table outreach. I was happy to find some nice vendors willing to help.
Venice Beach is switching next month from a lottery system for spots on the boardwalk back to the way it used to be--vendors will have to get there early to secure a space for tables. Since our team comes from Anaheim, it will be very helpful to have vendors secure a spot for us to set up our outreach table. Without this, we cannot set up, because the vendors (literally) fight for the spots.

I exchanged numbers with several of the vendors, offering to pay them $20.00 per week because we need a spot. They said they would help us with no money, because we are "spreading God's love." I was happy for such a reaction to our outreach, as I described it! We just need a spot for our table, so I am hoping one of these vendors will come through the next time the team wants to set up to offer free materials, pointing people to the Gospel of Jesus, along with the explanation of why Jesus is the only Savior and different from all the other gods and spirits...
