Update from George and Goldie Shaw (CA)

From George and Goldie, missionaries to the Jews:

After almost a two year absence from Santa Barbara City College, we returned this semester to find much more student activity and parking problems. But all went well outside the Student Center, where a long table and two chairs were placed for our distribution. SBCC is the only college where we must stand behind the table and offer bookmarks to passing students. Our co-worker today was Gale Dyson, who did a superb job in giving each student a bookmark with some humorous words of wisdom besides.

It was truly a bookend day, with the first person seeing our new TANAKHIM (Old Testament) sign, asked for a Tanakh. This man was Jewish. The last person who came was also Jewish, a young lady who wanted both the Old & New Testament and a CD-ROM. She was delighted to receive them.

Her name was Alma, the other bookend, the first man, was Stewart. Two bookends with many books (Bibles) in between were distributed. To our surprise, mostly used Bibles were desired, including many KJV Bibles. Our Daily Bread, DVD's, Spanish N.T.'s, CD-ROM's, Pockets Testaments, 31 Days booklets, tracts and smiles were given with love. In between the bookends we gave CD-ROM's to two Jewish young ladies at their Hillel student table, both did not hesitate to receive them with a "thank you" and "Shalom" with a smile. Nadia needed something in Portuguese, and a CD-ROM with the Bible was the answer. Thannh got her language with a bilingual Vietnamese Our Daily Bread.

Two Jewish bookends with much fruit in between, truly a blessed day on campus.

Thank you for remembering us before the Lord.
