God gave us a strong team of Christians contending for the faith on this first day of outreach at GA Tech--John and Lee Rosser (the leaders, pictured with me above), Bart, Randy, Robert, Alicia, Brittani, and my mother, Claudette Litz, who drove down from Knoxville to work with us.
The ministry of evangelism went from 3:00 P.M. until 11:45 P.M.! The team had planned on ending the outreach around 9:00 P.M., but God was obviously at work to use this ministry (as we worked in shifts) for almost 9 hours with the students. God really encouraged us as we spoke with the students about
why they can believe in the Bible as God's Word with reasons
why Jesus is unlike any other "god" or prophet. These Christians are so knowledgeable
and loving, and God has obviously put this team together...May this ministry always be about lifting up Jesus. We all realize that none of us are worthy of the praise.
The Student Center is the perfect place for this outreach! We are in the food court where students are always coming and going. Here I am with Alicia and Brittani, two Christian GA Tech students, working with us at the ministry for a few hours in between their classes.
We all realize that God is at work, and we could not be doing this on our own. From the location of the table to all of the supplies and resources God has provided fo the glory of His name...

( We ordered a sign in GA Tech colors reading "A Free Gift for You", and it will be used the next time we set up to let the students know all materials are free.)

We are so thankful to be working with Bart Jones who has been doing campus ministry at GA Tech for years. As a matter of fact, we could not make all of these resources available to the students without his partnership. He spends every Thursday in campus ministry at GA Tech. As an alumnus of GA Tech, he certainly knows science, along with scientific evidence to support God's account of creation.

I don't think I have ever had a better day in my whole life! This work really does thrill my heart.
My mother drove down from Knoxville to work with us, and it was truly a blessing having her there, too. When my mother speaks to someone about Jesus, she always comes across so lovingly. God really used her as she spoke with one student. The student thought he had all of the answers. Mother said, "There will come a time in life you will need God, and He will be there if you reach out to Him." With tears in her eyes she said, "I will pray for you." The student rolled his eyes. She said, "I used to be a school teacher, and I know all about that eye rolling." They exchanged a smile and a little laugh. She said, "God has not opened your eyes yet, but I will pray that He will." She asked, "Are you close to your mother?" He answered, "I never speak to my mother." My mother smiled and said, "If you were my son, I would be proud of you for being so smart, but I would also be praying that God would let you know about His love." I chimed in, "If you are right, and the story of Jesus is all a fairy tale, there is no fairy tale that can compare..." I really could sense the sweet, powerful Holy Spirit at work. I could tell the student was touched. After having a conversation with him based on logic for about an hour, the Lord then gave us an opportunity to talk to him about Jesus, quoting Bible verses.
And the student listened.
Two other Christian students had come to help us, and one of the girls said she had overheard practically all of the conversation we had with this boy, and she said that she could also sense the Lord powerfully at work.
